Sustainable Tourism

In 1975 the United Nations World Tourism Organization has been created to promote a sustainable and responsible form of tourism.

More recently, the MIBAC, Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, released the «Strategic Plan for Tourism» that promotes a sustainable tourism.

This presentation will touch on a specific aspect of sustainability (and fruibility), that is, over tourism (and related queueing problems) as well as under tourism. We then present our experience within the Uffizi Gallery project, as well as our data-driven engineering platform (named CAPS) for modeling and simulation of situational aware IoT applications.
